Description:
We are starting the year off with setting the bar, we are going to cover all the skill drills necessary for our Shotgun 101 skills test, followed by shooting the test for a benchmark on Day 2.
Exercises:
Stances: Isosceles and Weaver
Slinging and presenting your weapon
Various ready positions. (Low Ready, Contact Ready, High Ready)
Administrative Loading and Unloading
Marksmanship: Balance of Speed vs. Accuracy
Patterning your shot group (Buckshot)
Use of optics
Malfunction Clearances
Reloading: Tactical, and Emergency
Survival Sequence
Required Equipment:
1 Shotgun (Pump and Semi Automatic, Saiga or magazine fed are allowed. No full auto.)
Sling
Shell carrier (Stripper, Johnny Clip, Side saddle, Butt cuff, etc...)
A Hat with brim and wrap-around eye and hearing protection
Loadout:
60 Bird (#8 shot recommended)
40 Double Aught Buck
20 Slug
