    This 9 hour class meets all requirements set forth by the Nevada Sheriff and Chiefs Association to obtain a Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit. (Course may be offered in split sessions, check course calendar.)
    Classroom time: 3-4 hours
    Range time: 4-5 hours (Attention: $20.00 additional "Range Fee" this may be added to your cart prior to checkout)
    Lunch break: 1 hour (only applies to 9 hour session)(lunch is not provided)
    Minimum age for course attendance is 12 years old.
    Permit applications will only be issued to those over the age of 21. (Course completion certificates are awarded to all individuals under 21. These certificates satisfy most requirements of a "firearms safety class" as they are conducted by a NRA Instructor.)
    Upon completion of the course your signed application that must be submitted to the Police Agency in your County is only valid for 1 year.

    Topics include:
    Firearms safe handling and storage
    Federal, State, and Local laws
    Criminal and Civil liability and the aftermath of a shooting incident
    Basic tactics, Single hand firing and positions
    Situational awareness, De-escalation, and threat avoidance
    Loading/Unloading, Aiming and Firing Techniques
    Concealed carry and presentation methods
    Rules of Engagement (legal and appropriate use of force in response to a violent threat)
    Defensive marksmanship (the balance between speed and accuracy)
    Survival Sequence (surviving the initial encounter, and beyond)

    Required Equipment needed:
    100 rounds of ammunition for qualifying weapon.
    1 Gun (Effective October 1st, 2013, pursuant to Senate Bill 76 applicants need only to qualify with one weapon in order to carry both semi-automatics and revolvers.)

    AIM ADAPT Improved Marksmanship Program
    Guaranteed to improve your marksmanship by 100% and cut the size of your groupings in half.*
    A fun and challenging 2 hours of range time with custom, one-on-one marksmanship evaluation (in a small group setting) including target diagnostics, three secrets and guided corrective recommendations.
    The purpose of this time on the beautiful outdoor range is to get shooters of all levels to improve their accuracy and trigger control while reducing the effects of improper grip, anticipation and incorrect sighting.
    At the end of the 2 hours you will get the chance to prove your salt by shooting a playing card in half - Wild Bill and Annie Oakley will have nothing on you!
    Required Equipment:
    Semi-automatic pistol or revolver. (If you do not have a weapon of your own, rental options may be available.)
    Eye and Ear Protection (Rental gear options may be available)
    100 rounds of ammunition (.38 and larger caliber recommended)

    Recommended Equipment:
    Holster
    Magazine pouch or speed loader pouch
    Water bottle
    Sunscreen

    Prohibited Items:
    Single action revolvers
    Holsters with exposed trigger guards

    Age Requirements:
    Minimum age for attending the course unaccompanied is 16. (Parents must sign the release waiver on site.
    Minimum age for attendance with a parent or guardian is 14. The parent is responsible for acting as the safety coach for the child. One child per parent participating.

    Additional details:
    Purchase of this package allows (1) individual to attend one of the scheduled AIM sessions listed on the site calendar, or in the drop down menu once the item is added to your "shopping cart".
    If the purchaser is unable to attend on the scheduled date a (48 hour advance notification must be made by either emailing, or phone message.) If a cancellation notification is not received 48 hours prior, a reservation rescheduling fee of $15.00 will be assessed and paid upon attendance of the next session date.
    Scheduled sessions can be cancelled by ADAPT staff if a minimum number of attendees (6) is not met. Registered attendees will be notified via email prior to session date.
