Nevada PILB Armed Security Qualification Course

This course meets all requirements set forth by the Nevada Private Investigations Licensing Board for the individual who graduates to carry a firearm they have qualified with while performing the duties of an Armed Security Officer in lawful employment under a licensee in good standing with the state.

Minimum age for attendance is 18.
A Verification of Employment for Armed Security Referral Form is required to receive your Armed Security Card

If you have previously attended this course with ADAPT or another qualifying agency and need to attend to perform the 6 month re-qualification only please click here.

Topics include:
Firearms and Range Safety Federal and State laws Justification and the escalation of the necessary use of force Weapons and gear selection Situational awareness Threat assessment/Target Identification Caring for your firearm Presentation from the holster Marksmanship Malfunction clearances Speed, Emergency, and Tactical Reloads

Required Equipment needed:
200 rounds of ammunition for qualifying weapon. 1 Firearm (Effective October 1st, 2013, pursuant to Senate Bill 76 applicants need only to qualify with one weapon in order to carry both semi-automatics and revolvers.) 2 Magazines/ or 2 speed-loaders for the firearm Holster (To view our Approved and Recommended Holster page click here.) A Hat with brim and wrap-around eye and hearing protection 1 Magazine Pouch/speed loader carrier 1 Sturdy Belt
