ASP Baton, Handcuffing, and Flashlight Instructor Level Course

This is a 3 Day 30 Hour Course (10 hours daily)

This course will cover all the necessary skills sets and written material that the attendee needs to complete the evaluation and the end of the course. Upon *successful completion* the attendee will be certified as an ASP Handcuffing, Flashlight, and Expandable Baton Instructor.

*Attending an AIC Program does not assure instructor certification. Those who do not pass the AIC Written and Performance Tests will not be awarded certification.

Physical Fitness Standards

The following standards are offered as guidelines for the selection of individuals to participate in the upcoming ASP Instructor Training Program. These criteria are general guidelines only and not requirements.

Attendees should have a general understanding of the principles of personal defense as well as a reasonable level of physical fitness.

The final responsibility for selection of Instructors rests with the individual’s agency:
No known heart or lung problems No known bone or joint disorders No history of back problems Able to perform a one-mile run in 12 minutes Able to do 25 push-ups consecutively Able to perform 50 bent leg sit-ups in consecutive order
Personal Training and Protective Equipment
Each individual participating in the class must have the following equipment:

Each participant must provide his own equipment: (No functional firearms are allowed in class, a safe storage area will be provided for all attendees.)
Pants that will accommodate a belt and duty gear, such as BDUs (no sweat, jogging or track suit style pants.) Duty or Instructors Belt Shoes with good lateral and linear support ASP Tactical Baton (16", 21" or 26") (If you do not currently own a baton we will have them for rent or to purchase during the course) ASP SideBreak Scabbard (Gear will be available to rent or purchase as an add on to this package when going through checkout) Whistle and Lanyard Athletic Support (Cup) Mouth guard Water bottle Personal hygiene towel
Additional recommended gear
Sports tape   NO FIREARMS
No functional firearms are allowed at the training. (Secured storage will be provided for attendees without the ability to secure their own weapons)
