SCHEDULED SESSION TOPICS:
Pistol 101 Skills test primer.
On this date we will be cover many of the skill sets needed for the Pistol 101 skills test.
Concealment garments are both suggested for warmth, and presentation from concealment is required for the skills test timed evaluations.

Recommended gear:
150-200 rounds of ammunition
Handheld flashlight (side switch, or push tail cap button is recommended over twist on and off "mag-lite" style lights)
Dedicated lights are permitted however handheld lights will be the focus of the evening.
General description:
Building students to be weapons. This is the time to forge skill sets! These 4, 5, or 6 hour training sessions are designed to instill skills and begin to harden the warrior within. All skill levels welcome!
All sessions will begin with a safety briefing, then basic instructions. With each exercise introduced the participants are encouraged to perform at their skill level and push it to the next.
Whether you are new to firearms or an experienced shooter these training sessions will keep your skills up to date.

Information:
Approximately 150-200 rounds of ammunition per event
We encourage students to bring their favorite targets to shoot on, or standard silhouette targets will be provided.
Required gear:
Firearm (Semi-automatic or Revolver)
Magazines (2) Speed loaders (2)
Eye protection (Tinted is allowed, and clear or amber is recommended for low light shooting)
Hearing protection (Electronic hearing protection is recommended)
Hat w / Brim
Recommended gear:
Holster (If you fail to wear an *appropriate holster* for range activities then you will not be permitted to participate in some exercises.)
Magazine Pouch / Speed-loader carrier
Flashlight
* Appropriate holsters* (For information on appropriate holsters please click this link)
Any professional grade leather or Kydex (plastic) holster sold for daily defensive carry for civiliains, security, or law enforcement. (Thigh and drop offset holsters are allowed)
Belt or paddle mounted point of hip holstered are preferred
Inside the waistband (IWB) holsters are permitted if the holster retains its shape and does not collapse or prevent one handed re-holstering
Inappropriate holsters:
Holsters with exposed trigger or trigger guard
Sport or Race gun holsters
Soft form nylon (Velcro retention strap) holsters will not be permitted.
No flexible cloth, or collapsible inside the waistband holsters.
No vertical or horizontal shoulder holsters permitted
No ankle, cross draw, small of the back
No pocket, purse, fanny pack or additional "off the body" carry permitted
Age Requirements:
Minimum age for attending the course unaccompanied is 16. (Parents must sign the release waiver on site before leaving)
Minimum age for attendance with a parent or guardian is 10. The parent is responsible for acting as the safety coach for the child. One child per parent participating.

Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit Course 2/4/2016
08:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This 9 hour class meets all requirements set forth by the Nevada Sheriff and Chiefs Association to obtain a Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit. (Course may be offered in split sessions, check course calendar.)
Classroom time: 3-4 hours
Range time: 4-5 hours (Attention: $20.00 additional "Range Fee" this may be added to your cart prior to checkout)
Lunch break: 1 hour (only applies to 9 hour session)(lunch is not provided)
Minimum age for course attendance is 12 years old.
Permit applications will only be issued to those over the age of 21. (Course completion certificates are awarded to all individuals under 21. These certificates satisfy most requirements of a "firearms safety class" as they are conducted by a NRA Instructor.)
Upon completion of the course your signed application that must be submitted to the Police Agency in your County is only valid for 1 year.

Firearms safe handling and storage Federal, State, and Local laws Criminal and Civil liability and the aftermath of a shooting incident Basic tactics, Single hand firing and positions Situational awareness, De-escalation, and threat avoidance Loading/Unloading, Aiming and Firing Techniques Concealed carry and presentation methods Rules of Engagement (legal and appropriate use of force in response to a violent threat) Defensive marksmanship (the balance between speed and accuracy) Survival Sequence (surviving the initial encounter, and beyond)
Required Equipment needed:
100 rounds of ammunition for qualifying weapon. 1 Gun (Effective October 1st, 2013, pursuant to Senate Bill 76 applicants need only to qualify with one weapon in order to carry both semi-automatics and revolvers.)

2 Day Advanced Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit Course / Nevada Private Investigations Licensing Board Qualification Course.
