Safety, Operation, Basic Marksmanship, Care and Cleaning.

In this 8 hour classroom and live fire range course, students learn the basics of firearms safety and operation, listen to lectures, participate in group activities, proactively coach other students, and receive hands on and one-on-one instruction from industry professionals with law enforcement, military and competitive shooting experience. Training is focused towards weapons familiarization, basic marksmanship, care and cleaning of their firearm.

Topics covered:
Weapons selection considerations Classroom and Range Etiquette The Four Universal Safety Rules Appropriate Dry Practice procedures and exercises Stances: Isosceles and Weaver Slinging and presenting your weapon Various ready positions. (Low Ready, Contact Ready, High Ready) Administrative Loading and Unloading Marksmanship: Balance of Speed vs. Accuracy Patterning your shotgun Ammunition selection Malfunction Clearances Reloading: Tactical, and Emergency Ammunition management (Shoot one load one, Select Slug) Survival Sequence
