Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit Course

This class meets and exceeds all requirements set forth by the Nevada Sheriff and Chiefs Association to obtain a Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit. (Additionally qualifies you for your Florida permit at no additional cost.) Contact us about obtaining a Utah State Permit

Time: Review the Course Calendar for date specific times

Classroom time: 3 hours
Lunch break: 1 hour (lunch is not provided) Map of food vendors in the area.
Range time: 5 hours $20 Range Fee for initial applicants

Requirements: Minimum age for attendance is 12 with guardian present. Must be 21 years or older to obtain applications for *Nevada*, and Florida permits. *Active or honorably discharged Military may be 18-20 to apply for Nevada permit.*

Prerequisite: None

Required Equipment:

  • 1 Handgun Semi-automatic, or Revolver (We strongly encourage you to come study with the weapon you plan on carrying for self-defense.) Rental Weapons Packages
  • 2 Magazines or 2 speed-loaders for the weapon
  • 100 rounds of ammunition for qualifying weapon
  • A hat with brim
  • Wrap-around eye protection
  • Hearing protection (Electronic is advised) Rental Gear Packages

Application for Florida Permit Completion of this 8 hour firearms safety course is required to apply for Florida.

Clark County facilities and programs are closed/canceled until further notice.

Clark County is taking proactive steps out of an abundance of caution to help reduce the possibility of community spread of the virus. County officials are continuing to monitor the coronavirus situation in coordination with state, local and federal health officials and will keep the public advised of any updates.

During the closures, additional measures will be taken to do some proactive cleaning of counters, work stations and computer labs during the closure. Clark County has taken this step, in addition to recent cancellations of events and activities, out of an abundance of caution to help reduce the possibility of community spread of the virus. General inquiries about event and program cancellations can be directed to the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department at (702) 455-8200. Contact the department's Sports Office for information about sports leagues by phone at (702) 455-8241 or email: ccprssports@clarkcountynv.gov.

Clark County officials are continuing to monitor the coronavirus situation in coordination with state, local and federal health officials and will keep the public advised of any updates. As a result of coronavirus concerns, Clark County has implemented additional cleaning and sanitizing efforts in all our facilities. Hand sanitizer stations have been added in some areas, and signage has been posted throughout county buildings encouraging regular hand washing, good cough and sneeze etiquette, and other recommended hygiene practices to limit the spread of viruses.

The Southern Nevada Health District's website, www.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/coronavirus, is a recommended local resource for staying informed of the evolving coronavirus situation.
